Why currents matter
Tides tell you your clearance under a bridge or when to adjust docklines. Currents tell you how the water is moving — often the difference between an easy docking and a stressful one.
Many tide apps treat currents as an afterthought, or don’t show them at all. But max flood is rarely just halfway between low and high tide.
