Free & no ads. Currents And Tides, or CaTBox, is an app built by a tall ship officer to provide the tools they needed every day. Often tide apps are just that - tide apps. More often, we need to know the currents, not just the tide table.
Works best on Android (coming to the Play store soon), but you can provide initial feedback by using the web app!

Why currents matter
Tides are helpful when you need to know clearance under a bridge or when to adjust docklines. But currents tell you how the water is moving — and that’s often the difference between an easy docking and a stressful one.
Many tide apps treat currents as an afterthought or don’t show them at all, but max flood is often not simply halfway between low and high tide.
Platforms
The web app is a preview so you can get a feel for how it works, but some features only work in Android (coming soon).
